Verse 4:34 is a testament to Islam’s eternal wisdom in the enduring balance between man and woman through a deep and intuitive understanding of their inherent nature. Which in turn creates socio-economic balance and defines roles and responsibilities. Unfortunately, this very profound verse, which is eye-opening even for the progressive western world has been twisted and distorted. And now the result is that we have imbalance and social corruption in Islamic society.
